Since its the same enemies every time. I realized that if I had a human shield then I didn't need to waste a single bullet on them. I'd head shot and let them be killed instead of me. Also, lots of kicking. Lots of grabs and covering until the guys with pistols were stunned and the guys with bombs were firing on me with speed.
Very interesting gameplay. I really like how you implemented the quick shot / head shot mechanic featured in the movie. Head shots do more damage but quick shots are instant and cancel enemy's attack (especially the grenade guys). Initially i thought that not explaining clearly to the player the advantages of each attack was detrimental to the game but now that i finished it i think it's better like this since the player is naturally going to discover them by die / retry. Plus, the game was made during a jam so obviously some choices were made here. Overall, i had a blast. The last waves are quite challenging but you really get this 'John Wick' feel and that really all that matters. Great job!
if I have one problem with the game is that you cant cancel a action which is really annoying since if you click cover on a box on the other side of the map so you cant do anything about it
Great game but add checkpoints. A way to do this maybe could be making a variable that raises in the number when you beat a level and setting up a level restart for each number

No enemies? Tried this 3 times and it just says Wave 1 Fight, Wave 2 Fight, etc

(the toughest part is deciding what to do really fast, because of the constant slow ticks)

Nvm I figured out how to pass the wave with all the grenade guys. just stick to the left and save a box on the far left for your use.

This is a pretty good and gory game, reminds me a lot of katana zero with the stages and sprites. I wish it was more intense though. 8/10

I have discovered that dead bodies damage cover and enemies behind cover, and that i can kick my cover and instantly run to dodge grenades

groovy game.. I like the little touches of kung fu inspired sfx, human shield is a neat balancing mechanic, kept me at it for some time.
Really cool game! I loved how it managed to take turned based combat and turn it into something that feels extremely chaotic.
